The inaugural voyage of the "Mingsheng World No.1" cruise from Hong Kong to Sanya was successfully held on September 25. This is the first international cruise route to resume in China since the Ministry of Transportation resumed the operation of domestic cruise ports on September 19. Officials from the Hainan Provincial Department of Tourism, Culture, Sports, and Broadcasting, as well as the Sanya Municipal Government, attended the welcoming ceremony. The event featured lion dance performances, traditional dances, and other festive activities to welcome the arrival of the cruise passengers.
The "Mingsheng World No.1" cruise departed from Hong Kong on September 24 with more than 1800 passengers on board, and arrived in Sanya at 12:00 noon on September 25. This marked the official opening of the "Hong Kong - Sanya" winter cruise route. The route is planned to operate a total of 32 voyages from September 24, 2023, to April 2024. Departures from Hong Kong are scheduled every other week on Wednesdays and Sundays, with itineraries of 2 nights and 3 nights respectively.

Mingsheng World Cruise is an Asian luxury cruise brand based in Singapore. The "Mingsheng World No.1" cruise, which arrived in Hong Kong in March 2023, is the first international cruise to reach Sanya, Hainan Island after the resumption of international cruises. The successful inaugural voyage signifies the smooth resumption of maritime cruise routes in Sanya, following the reopening of air routes to Hong Kong, Seoul, Jakarta, Hanoi, Almaty, and other overseas destinations. It is understood that the passengers on board the inaugural cruise mainly included representatives from well-known international and Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan tourism-related companies, as well as international tourists eligible for the visa-free policy from 59 countries visiting Hainan.
