Hainan Island Tourist Road officially Opens

The Hainan Island Tourist Road, with a total length of nearly 1,000 kilometers and connecting 12 coastal cities and counties, was officially opened on December 18th, 2023. On the same day, the Provincial Information Office held a press conference for the full opening of the Hainan Island Tourist Road and invited relevant departments, including the Provincial Department of Commerce, the Provincial Department of Tourism, Culture, Radio, Television and Sports, the Provincial Department of Transportation, the Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, and the Provincial Public Security Traffic Police Corps, to jointly release the official panoramic "Travel Guide".

Convenient access to 40 popular tourist destinations

This road connects a total of 31 A-level scenic spots in the province, including four 5A-level scenic spots such as Nanshan Cultural Tourist Area, Xiaodongtian Tourist Area, Wuzhizhou Island Tourist Area, and Hainan Boundary Island Tourist Area. It also provides convenient access to 11 4A-level scenic spots, such as Tianya Haijiao Tourist Area, Sanya West Island Oceanic Cultural Tourist Area, Holiday Beach Tourist Area, Nanwan Monkey Island Ecotourism Area, Luhuitou Scenic Area, Hainan Ocean Paradise World, and Hainan Tongguling Scenic Area.

This road also provides more convenient access to 21 coastal tourist resorts, 7 marine sports bases, 206 coconut-level rural tourism sites, 25 lighthouses, 61 traditional Chinese villages, 27 prehistoric cultural sites, 3 historical and cultural towns, 10 Chinese folk culture and art villages, 9 intangible cultural heritage towns, as well as 40 popular tourist destinations such as Haikou Yundong Library and Wenchang Haiwen Bridge.
