Attractions of Boao

1. Boao Forum for Asia (BFA): Known as the "Asian Davos," the BFA is an annual high-level conference that brings together government leaders, business executives, and scholars to discuss key issues in Asia and promote regional cooperation. It is held in the Boao Asia International Conference Center.

2. Dongyu Island: Located at the mouth of the Wanquan River, Dongyu Island is known for its pristine beaches and clear blue waters. Visitors can relax on the beach, enjoy water sports, or take a boat trip to explore the nearby islands.

Jenny's tip: no entrance fee, but we need to reach the island by boat, the cost of the boat is RMB125 per person.

 

3. Wanquan River: The Wanquan River is a scenic river that flows through Boao. Visitors can take a cruise along the river, enjoying picturesque views of the surrounding nature and passing through charming villages. It is also called the River of Hainan. Wanquan River, formerly known as Duhe, is the third largest river on Hainan Island, China. It is located in the eastern part of Hainan Island, Hainan Province, China. The Wanquan River has two sources: the southern branch, Lehui River, is the main stream, with a length of 109 kilometers, originating from Nanling in Linbei Village, Wuzhishan. The northern branch, Ding'an River, originates from the south of Limuling in Li and Muling. The two rivers converge at Hekou mouth in Qionghai City, where it is officially known as Wanquan River, flowing through Jiaji to Bo'ao and eventually into the South China Sea. It has a total length of 157 kilometers. The Wanquan River's banks feature typical tropical rainforest landscapes and stunning geological formations, making it a sight to behold. The Wanquan River is an unpolluted, ecologically beautiful tropical river in China, often referred to as the "Amazon River of China." At the estuary of the Wanquan River, it encompasses three rivers (Wanquan River, Jiuliu River, and Longgun River), one port (Bo'ao Port), and two islands (Dongyu Island and Yuanyang Island), offering breathtaking scenery. The coastal beaches are fine and soft, and it is considered one of the best tourist attractions in the world in terms of preserving the natural beauty of a river estuary, according to experts.

4. Hainan Baishi Hill  is located in Qionghai City, Hainan Province, covering an area of 16.24 square kilometers. Denggaoling (328 meters above sea level), the highest peak of the scenic area, is recorded in the annals of Qiongzhou Prefecture: "there are huge stones at the top of the peak, and the color is pale", so it is called BAISHILING. It stretches over four mountains and gathers mountains, valleys, rocks, lakes, forests and other landscapes. Its unique geological landform makes it known as "Hainan Danxia Mountain" and enjoys the reputation of "Hainan natural geology museum".

Jenny's tip: good for hiking, you can also take a cable car to the top of the hill. Another activity is the via ferrera, like rock climbing, good for young guys.
